Sue Levine-Kelley – President
A retired educator of 34 years and Chicago native, Sue and her husband have lived in Buena Park for 15 years, moving from Oak Park where they raised their two sons. Sue’s interests are varied. She worked in the professional theater world for ten years; taught high school English and Theater for 19 years; and then was an English/Fine & Performing Arts Department Chair at two high schools for her last 15 years. She has a Masters in English Language Learner Education and an advanced certificate in Educational Administration. Always an active volunteer in various organizations, Sue was recently elected as a Brennemann Local School Council community member. She currently serves as president of Friends of Brennemann.
Lucy Tuck – Treasurer
Lucy Tuck is an almost life-long Chicagoland resident who moved to the Buena Park/Uptown neighborhood in 2019 with her pooch, Cooper. Prior to retiring, her 40-year plus career was spent in commercial lending and risk management at Citibank and several nonprofit loan funds in Chicago and DC. Lucy has been involved with a number of Chicago nonprofits including Lurie Childrens and Neighborhood Housing Services. Currently, she is on the board of the Wentcher Foundation, a college scholarship funder of CPS graduates, is treasurer of her condo board and a regular volunteer at Nourishing Hope. She co-founded Friends of Brennemann in 2022 and serves as treasurer. Lucy has three children and eight grandchildren in the area.
Lisa von Drehle – Secretary
Throughout her life Lisa has worked at building community. As a Producer in advertising she builds teams to make broadcast and digital commercials, serving as the connector between creatives, clients and production resources. As a 35 year resident of Buena Park she works to bring neighbors together and help the community to shine. In 2014 she started Buena Park Open Day which ran for three years. From 2017 to 2020 she was President of Buena Park Neighbors and made it her mission to increase awareness of Buena Park. Currently she is a co-founder and Board Member of Friends of Brennemann and is thrilled to be working with such a great group on such an important mission.
Jenny Maraccini – Communications
Jenny Maraccini is a seasoned marketing and social media expert who has lived in Buena Park for 15 years. She has over 15 years of marketing experience working with a lot of small companies to help with their marketing and communications strategies, many of which are local businesses here in Uptown. She also was an active volunteer with Buena Park Neighbors, serving 5 years as their social media manager. Jenny lives in Buena Park with her husband and 2 children, one of which attended Brenneman’s pre-k and kindergarten programs. As the Friends of Brennemann Communications Director, she brings to the team her expertise in digital marketing and social media.
Jane Sebastian – Programs
Jane Sebastian, although a recent transplant to the Buena Park area, is a seasoned veteran of education having taught in Newport News and Williamsburg, Virginia. Jane earned her Masters of Elementary Education from the William and Mary School of Education. Prior to that, Jane and her husband raised their family in Tampa, Florida where Jane served on committees and boards at every level of their children’s education. In addition, Jane served on the auxiliary board for Tampa General Hospital and currently volunteers at Lurie Children’s Hospital in several different capacities. Currently, Jane serves as Programs Director for Friends of Brennemann.
Heather Hendrickson – Member at Large
Heather Hendrickson and her family have resided in Buena Park since 2018. Heather became involved in the community through her volunteer work with St. Mary of the Lake laundry ministry – providing laundry services for the LGBTQIA+ youth and seniors through the Center on Halstead and local tent dwellers. Heather also served as Treasurer of Buena Park Neighbors from 2021-2023. An attorney for the federal government, Heather looks to bring her experience to help with the FOB’s mission.
Elisabeth Logman – Member at Large
A resident of Chicago for almost 30 years, Elisabeth and her family moved to Buena Park in 2013. Elisabeth is the Director of Historic Preservation for Henry Frerk Sons, one of the city’s oldest companies, and she applies these skills to the never-ending restoration of her own home. Elisabeth has previously served in a variety of capacities in the Junior League of Chicago, including as facilities co-chair, and she is excited to apply her professional background, as well as her personal enthusiasm for gardening, to support the local community.
